MARIAN RODRIGUEZ has a BS in chemical engineering from the National Univ. of Colombia. She won a scholarship to study in a Master’s program in Environment and Resource Management with a specialization in Energy and Climate from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Rodriguez has extensive work experience in the chemical industry, process engineering, technical and commercial advice, industry research, and business development. Before joining Climate Bonds, she worked for The Netherlands Organization of Applied Research (TNO), assessing industrial processes and proposing decarbonization alternatives. She was part of the Manufacture Industry Decarbonization Data Exchange Network (MIDDEN) project led by TNO and The Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL). Rodriguez joined Climate Bonds in 2021 as a Senior Analyst, developing scientific criteria to ensure that industrial projects and assets contribute to climate change mitigation, using scientific research and involving key stakeholders and experts.
