Owen is the Safety & Operational Risk Lead for New Ventures at bp. He leads the team providing assurance across the new bp ventures that will deliver its strategy to Reimagine Energy. Based in Australia, he has 25 years experience in hazardous industry as a production engineer, a Major Hazards regulator and various senior process safety & risk positions.
Owen represents bp on the managing board of the Centre for Hydrogen Safety and the International Hydrogen Council Safety Taskforce. He is also a non-executive director of Lowes Petroleum, a bp joint venture servicing rural and regional customers across eastern Australia.
