Dr. Sailesh Kumar, is a process engineering professional with over twenty years of experience in the industry, and is presently Technical Director- Reaction Engineering at Archer-Daniels-Midland’s (ADM) Science & Technology Group. For his graduate work at the Chemical Reaction Engineering Laboratory (CREL) at Washington University in St. Louis, he worked primarily in the areas of reaction engineering and multiphase flows, with support grants from DoE. He has over 25+ peer-reviewed journal articles and chapters in the area of process and chemical engineering; as well as four industrial patents. Throughout his career at Honeywell-UOP and now at ADM, he has focused on a range of process engineering activities including Process Development & Equipment Design, Process & Product Scale-Up, Process Fluid Dynamics, Heat & Mass Transfer with an emphasis on Modeling & Simulations. He is Six-Sigma Black Belt Certified from Honeywell.
Sailesh’s primary focus currently is with developing sustainable solutions that drive ADM’s initiatives towards reducing its carbon footprint and marching towards the net zero goals the company targets for all of its industrial processes and products over the next decade.
