Tamara L. Daugherty, PhD, is the Global Technical Risk Manager for Air Products with more than 31 years of experience in the design and operation of industrial gas plants. Her background includes air separation, hydrogen/CO/syngas generation, coal gasification, ammonia, methanol, and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Daugherty has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Purdue Univ. and a PhD in chemical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon Univ. She has been active in the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) Hydrogen Production Committee for the last 10 years, contributing to multiple industry guidelines and formerly serving as vice chair and chair.
