Thomas Alan Kwan is a sustainability, innovation, and green engineering expert. He holds a PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from Yale University and previously served at the U.S. EPA. At Unilever Science & Technology, he now leads the development of sustainable technologies for personal care products. He brings a systems approach and distinct perspective to make sustainable living commonplace in the FMCG industry. Thomas has led global innovation workshops on design thinking, biomimicry, and sustainable decision making for technical and non-technical audiences alike. He is passionate about environmental justice, education, and science communication and has toured all 50 States in the U.S.
