Wendy XU received a Ph.D. degree in Material Science and Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2011. Her experience spans a wide range of chemistry and applications, including polymers, electronic materials, composites, nanomaterials, personal care, Integrated Circuit (IC) fabrication, solar cells, and pressure sensors.
Wendy joined Electronic Materials division at Dow in 2011. There she focused on the fundamental study and product development for Chemical and Mechanical Planarization (CMP) business. She is a R&D scientist at Dow Personal Care business since 2015, developing products for global sun, skin, and hair care markets. The products have received several global awards, including Business Intelligence Group (BIG) 2020-Sustainability Award, In-Cosmetic® Global 2020- Silver Award of Innovation Zone Best Ingredient, ICIS Innovation Award 2021- Product with Best Benefit to the Environment and Sustainability. Wendy holds over 30 external publications and over 40 patents/applications.
