STS AIChE is privileged to be granted a Ship Channel Tour this year due to new restricted access to the event. The last day to sign up for the tour is May 23rd COB as we are required to provide a list of names of all attending in advance. This special tour will accommodate up to a maximum of 65 passengers and no less than 40 passengers. Up to 2 guests per registered attendee are welcome to join. The ship will depart promptly at 2:00PM and return at approximately 3:30 pm. Attendees will be required to arrive no later than 1:30 pm for 1:45 pm boarding. The tour is located at the Sam Houston Landing, 7300 Clinton Drive, Houston, Texas 77020, Gate #8. Please see the map below to assist in locating the facility. Due to Port Houston's commitment to safety and security, all attendees must have a current photo ID to enter the Port Houston property.
Directions to the M/V Sam Houston:
- Exit East Loop 610 at Clinton Dr (Exit #28)
- Proceed west (right) on Clinton Dr, past McCarty St to Gate 8
- Enter Gate 8 and stay to the right. Port of Houston security and signs will direct you to the M/V Sam Houston.
