(284c) Leadership in Energy Development

Leadership is not simply a trait but a skill essential for organizational success. It is not simply managing but inspiring and creating an organizational will to succeed. Different organizations have different measures of success and require the skill of their people to be uniquely led – and yet there are common elements of leadership that are fundamental in all cases.
Industry, national laboratories, government, academia all have measures of success and a need for strong leadership. I will explore my personal experiences having been in each of these enterprises and will share perspectives for future leaders to consider.
