(513df) Ag/La-CeO2 for Low Temperature PM Oxidation

Ag/CeO2 is known for great oxidation performance by promoting active oxygen species generation which is efficient for PM oxidation at a low temperature. It is also known that the doping of the La on the CeO2 surface increases the oxygen deficiency and thermal sustainability of the catalyst. In this study, catalysts were synthesized by loading both Ag and La into CeO2, and oxidation experiments with Printex®U were performed to compare with Ag/CeO2 catalyst which has no La loading. PM oxidation experimental and various analysis including XPS and Raman were done to prove enhanced oxidation ability of new catalysts. It is concluded that La does not only improve oxidation of the catalysts, but also effect form of Ag particle loaded in the catalysts.
