Fluidization: In Honor of Christine Hrenya I (Invited Talks)
Thursday, November 19, 2020 - 2:00pm to 2:15pm
Professor Christine Hrenya's research has encompassed investigations into a variety of complex fluids, such as gas-solid systems, granular materials, and aerosols. Her work has been applied to a wide range of applications: improving the efficiency of gasifiers used for energy production, developing novel heat transfer methods for concentrating solar power plants, mitigating the ejection of lunar soil upon spacecraft landing, and predicting the agglomeration of cohesive particles found in nature or industry. She is the recipient of the AIChE PTF Lectureship Award in Fluidization, the AIChE PTF Service Award, a AIChE PTF Best Paper Award and AIChE PTF Best PhD Award.
