Complex multi-phase fluid systems are ubiquitous in chemical processes, and their evolutions depend on the mechanisms by which the subsystems exchange information with each other at different length- and/or time-scales. In past decades many theories with specific description accuracies were developed for addressing the physicochemical properties of practical systems, the incorporations among them are still limited, which virtually constitute the cornerstones of mesoscale science. This session provides a platform for discussing the concept and recent advances on mesoscale science from different perspectives, and the topics on interfacial problems involving thermodynamics, transport and reactions are especially welcome.
