Systems and Quantitative Biology of Microbes

Chair(s)

Saha, R., University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Co-chair(s)

Park, J., UCLA

The integration of computational analysis with novel, high-throughput experimental approaches advances the understanding of molecular mechanisms of single microbes and microbial communities. This session will highlight progresses in systems and quantitative approaches with topics including: biosynthetic pathway design, establishing regulatory mechanism from ‘omics’ data, characterizing nitrogen-fixing symbiosis, and modeling growth kinetics and interactions in microbial communities.
