The hydrodynamic interactions between uniform spherical particles have been widely analyzed; similarly, the hydrodynamic interactions between uniform uniaxial colloidal particles, such as uniform ellipsoids or uniform rods. Currently, new applications and technological trends, such as colloidal assembly, active matter, particle sorting, sensors, etc., require the description of hydrodynamic interactions between particles with tri-axial shapes and between particles with different shapes. In the present analysis, the mobility matrix of binary anisotropic particles with ellipsoidal shapes is presented. The model uses the far field approximation for tri-axial ellipsoidal particles with arbitrary positions and orientations. The pair interaction mobility functions capture the physics of the singularity solution given by the point dipole approximation on interacting spherical particle dynamics and include the shape anisotropy for finite-size ellipsoidal particles. The interaction mobility functions are reported taking into account the relative position and relative orientation dependence between the individual particle components. Additionally, the mobility functions for particle pairs composed of binary particles with different sizes and different aspect ratios are presented.
