(273c) (Invited Talk) Development of Influenza COVID Tests with Nowdiagnostics

In August 2019 I began a sabbatical at NOWDiagnostics; their mission is to develop simple, accurate, and easy to administer diagnostic tests that yield results in minutes. My research initially focused on using their existing ADEXUSDx platform to develop an influenza test. I will briefly discuss our efforts on the influenza test development. As SARS-CoV-2 began to spread across the United States, it became clear that rapid and reliable tests for antigen and antibody were needed. In response to the pandemic, we quickly shifted focus to the development of antibody serology tests, antibody saliva tests, and antigen saliva tests using the existing AdexusDx platform. In this talk, I will discuss some of the obstacles we faced along with the successes.
