(338g) Nanopore Tools for Probing Protein Dynamics and Sequence (Invited Speaker)

Nanopores have gained attention recently with breakthroughs in DNA and RNA sequencing, which provides long reads and high throughput. However, long before sequencing was achieved, nanopores have found use in probing the size of biomolecules and their interactions. In this talk I will present our recent work on understanding protein structure and dynamics, as well as describing our efforts to develop a new method for single-molecule protein sequencing, outlining the potential advantages and outstanding challenges.
