Diagnosis and management of disorders could benefit from a point of care device for measurement of small molecules in biological fluids indicative of a detrimental medical conditions. Practical and technical limitations of small molecule measurement have impeded the use of these molecules as a routinely employed biomarkers in medicine. We have developed membranes for selective extraction of molecules from biological fluids and have developed sensors for detection of these molecules. We will present our results about these new functional materials.
