(360a) Analysis of Transformed Bioprocess Data and Application of Hybrid Modeling Approaches to Enhance Upstream Process Development

Authors

Application of data-driven approaches in upstream process development has become a focal point of increased interest in biopharmaceutical industry. This, in part, is due to an increasing volume of on-line and sample data that become readily available during the process development, and upstream bioreactors being the key steps for determining the maximum achievable product quality and quantity. Despite significant advances made in the area (e.g., application of Multivariate Analysis), two key challenges remain: how do the intentional changes made during the process (e.g., feeding) impact the process and cell biology, and how do we use such knowledge to develop more productive processes? To address these questions, this presentation showcases usage of transformed bioprocess data and application of hybrid modeling approach (i.e., combination of data and fundamental-derived knowledge).
