The authors will share their company perspective and experience beginning in 1947 with the publication of Stull vapor pressures in 1947 and in 1955 with the first volume of a three-volume series Dreisbach Tables in Advances in Chemistry series. The latter also had synergy with similar activities of Manufacturing Chemists Association and American Petroleum Insititute. We will provide an overview of the need for these properties and their usage, the list of pure component and related thermodynamic and transport properties as well as other physical properties are needed in chemical process and related calculations, quality code, typical correlations for temperature dependent physical properties, various constraints and features of temperature dependent property correlations, various consistencies and trends, and desired features of database access tools.
