Availability of biomass and plastics is increasing day by day and along with it is increasing the availability of waste plastic and biomass. This waste is required to be treated judicially to make sure, the waste will not be hampering the environment and to utilize it in an efficient way. With the advancement in technology, and the requirement of the fuels for various purposes, the conversion of the biomass and plastic to fuels is gaining importance in research and applications. Gasification proves to be an enriched approach for converting the waste to electrical sources. On the similar front, the research is also gaining a lot of importance in the said field.

The present work focuses on the evaluation of the different processes applicable in the waste treatment be it the plastic or the biomasses. The modeling approach is considered using the Aspen Plus platform which simulates the sub-processes of the gasification for the implementation. The pyrolysis and gasification process are modeled utilizing the experimental data and regression. The review shows that the higher power generation can be obtained on comparing the biomass content in the combination of biomass and plastic wastes. It has also evaluated the pyrolysis process for converting of the plastics and other biomass waste to the useful energy and fuels ultimately leading to the utmost profitable and environmental benefits.
