Rising life expectancies will nearly double the aged population in the United States by 2060 and increase the incidence of aging-associated diseases, which significantly impair the life quality of the elderly. This session will highlight engineering approaches to investigate the mechanisms underlying aging and longevity as well as innovative methodologies to halt aging and aging-associated diseases.
