Synthetic Biology: Cell Free Systems, Biosensors, and Genetic Circuits

Chair(s)

Young, E., Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Co-chair(s)

Yi, H., Tufts University

Orthogonal biological systems are a cornerstone of synthetic biology. This session features selected talks expanding orthogonality in three directions - programmable gene expression, new-to-nature biosensors and biomolecules, and reactions without cells. Such systems allow novel biological discoveries and build foundations for new biotechnological processes.
