Chair(s)

Song, H. S., University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Co-chair(s)

Galloway, K., Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Systems biology serves as an essential tool for deepening our understanding of the molecular basis for the initiation and progression of disease. Such knowledge enables us not only to discover new mechanisms underlying complex diseases, but also to improve diagnoses and treatments. This session highlights recent advances in systems biology from understanding the complexity of diseases, to discovery of novel biomarkers, and to the development of improved therapies.
