In Vitro and In Vivo Cancer Models

Co-chair(s)

Fogg, K., University of Wisconsin - Madison

The development of new cancer therapeutics is expensive, time-consuming, and only 7% of anti-cancer drugs in clinical trials become approved for clinical use. There is, therefore, a significant need for new cancer models to improve our understanding of cancer progression and for testing new therapeutics. This is especially true for the hardest to treat cancers. This session features innovative and novel models of some of the least understood and most difficult to treat cancers including ovarian cancer, glioblastoma, triple negative breast cancer, and pancreatic cancer.
