(231d) The Power of Circularity – Challenges and Opportunities

Reducing plastic waste in the environment is one of the most pressing global challenges today. As one of the world’s largest producers of plastics and chemicals, LyondellBasell’s products are used by millions of people around the world every day. Lyondellbasell is working to deliver meaningful progress to improving product circularity to make a positive impact across our value chains. Several programs, procedures, and processes have been implemented to help tackle the challenge of plastic waste in the environment; reduce our carbon footprint and support the transition to a low-carbon economy; and make a positive impact on society by keeping our workers safe and providing products that improve quality of life. This paper will share some of LyondellBasell’s most exciting and innovative technical and process development, collaborations, and stories of progress to help keep plastic waste out of the environment.
