(238b) Regenerative Engineering Education and Democratization of Science: The Uconn-M1 Program

UConn REM-M1 is designed to create leaders in engineering research and education from underrepresented groups. The program is built upon the vision of Dr. Laurencin and combines three innovative activities. 1. Mentoring and Training of Individuals to become leaders capable ultimately of National Science Foundation Funding through focused and sustained research experiences. 2. The promotion of racial/ethnic diversity in leadership ranks in engineering. 3. Educating individuals on the Convergence field of Regenerative Engineering with the goal of creating from the ground up, a field with leaders who are diverse, and an environment that is inclusive.
