Over his career spanning over five decades, Professor G.V. Reklaitis has been a visionary and pioneer in the general area of batch and continuous scheduling and operation of chemical, pharmaceutical, energy and manufacturing processes, and their wider enterprise and supply chain networks. In this presentation, we will provide an overview of his many contributions in this field from a historical perspective, and highlight the major impact that these developments have had in the evolution of the field of process systems engineering.
