(303e) Inclusive and Equitable Teaching Methods in Chemical Engineering

In this special session honoring the Dr. Peppas, I will discuss several strategies to make classrooms and research labs more inclusive, equitable spaces for students from all racial and demographic backgrounds to thrive. Advancements in Chemical Engineering depend on our ability to recruit and retain the best students that have broad ranging perspectives they can bring to challenging problems in human health, energy, and the environment. It is our responsibility as educators to meet these needs of these students so that they can contribute to our dynamically changing field.
