(322g) Dr. Bob Brodkey - Teacher, Researcher and Visionary

The author had Bob Brodkey as his Ph.D. advisor during the early eighties at The Ohio State University. The research area was using 3-dimensional image processing techniques to capture, measure and model fluid mechanics and mixing. It was some of the early pioneering work in Bob’s research interests. The author will summarize how his interactions with Bob during the student days that continued on over the next 37 years. The advice Bob provided from the graduate student days helped the author through his career and family life.

The author will also discuss a couple of other Ph.D. students from that time whom Bob advised, and their interactions prepared them for their academic and research careers.

We all are fortunate to have had Bob as a teacher and researcher and will continue to cherish those memories.
