(32g) Parameters for Controlling Liposome Particle Size By Extrusion

Liposome is a proven effective drug delivery tool including Covid-19 vaccine. The liposome particle size is very important for the effectiveness of drug delivery. In this paper, we present the parameters which control the liposome particle size from our recent test results of formulating mRNA and proteins with liposome. The parameters include extrusion temperature, filter membrane pore size, pH, static charge, molecular weight of the mPEG in the formulation, etc. The size of the liposome particles in a cuvette was measured using Malvern Nano Ultra dynamic light scattering instrument at 25℃. The results are quite useful to drug formulation and vaccine development.
