The data science revolution has provided new and disruptive tools for fundamental and applied chemical engineering. To bring about awareness of these tools and the opportunities they enable, this session will focus on the adoption and application of data science approaches to both experimental and computational research in fluid mechanics. Contributions of interest include, but are not limited to, work involving advanced techniques for high-throughput experimentation, simulation and analysis; data-driven modeling and visualization; combination of data-driven and physics-based approaches; or implementation of machine learning in the design, analysis and modeling of fluids-based processes and materials.
