Honorary Session for Prof. Suzana Nunes I

We are very fortunate to honor Prof. Suzana Nunes. She has made enormous contributions in the membrane and separations field. Although this session is primarily invited papers, if you would like to submit a paper please contact the chairs. Here is a brief bio of Prof. Nunes. She is currently Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs and Professor of Chemical and Environmental Science and Engineering at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), where she leads the Nanostructured Polymeric Membranes Lab (http://npm.kaust.edu.sa). She graduated with a Doctor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, in 1985. She was a Humboldt Postdoc Fellow at the Johannes Gutenberg University (B. A. Wolf’s Lab), Mainz, Germany (1985-1986), working in thermodynamics and rheology of polymer solutions, was visiting scientist at the Max-Planck for Polymer Science, Mainz, Germany and at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. She has ca. 300 publications in scientific journals in membranes and polymer science, edited 7 books, > 25 patent applications She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK, and is a Fellow of the Sao Paulo Academy of Science, Brazil.
