Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering

This session invites abstracts focused on engineering cells and tissues in health and disease. We welcome work focused on engineering at the cellular level, such as work focused on stem cells and immune cells; as well as tissue engineering, including biomimetic tissue development, tissue repair and regeneration, and modulation of the microenvironment to elucidate disease progression or disease onset. Efforts to develop biomaterials should be submitted to Area 8B, while this session welcomes work that focuses on the impact of a material on cell phenotypes, where the focus is on the cells and their responses.
