This workshop will introduce using Python for teaching chemical engineering courses and assumes no prior familiarity with Python. It will begin with an introduction to the language, build a working understanding of basic tools for the analysis of chemical engineering problems, and cover the use of Jupyter Notebooks as a platform for integrating Python code into richly-featured, interactive, web-based documents ideally suited to teaching, exploration, and learning. Workshop organizers will provide attendees with Python tutorial exercises and chemical engineering examples: pre-registration is encouraged. Participants should bring charged laptops to actively engage with workshop content. Prior to attending, participants should install the current version of Anaconda (https://www.anaconda.com/products/distribution).
