(125g) Some Examples of Interfacial Separations and Pattern Formation

This talk will describe some interfacial phenomena with industrial applications related to the work of the late Jeffrey M. Davis: Capillary filtering of colloidal particles in dip coating, where particles are sorted by size and shape between the meniscus and film regions, and electrochemical control of interfacial pattern formation, where electro-autocatalytic reactions influence phase separation at an electrode/electrolyte interface.
