Stability and scalability are currently limiting the commercial viability of perovskite photovoltaics. I will first discuss an innovative additive design that imparts thermal stability to perovskite light-absorbing materials. Next, I will discuss our recent progress in the device engineering of perovskite solar cells, focusing on constructing carrier transporting layers that enable extended operational lifetimes. Finally, I will discuss the promise and technical challenges in stabilizing and scaling up perovskite photovoltaics.
