(200c) Chemical Engineering to Gen AI, a Personal Journey

In this presentation we will discuss our career paths from microelectronics processing at Rensselaer through industrial stints at IBM and Broadcom and then into the field of generative AI. We will touch base on how the ability to tackle open ended problems, picked up during our PhDs, held us in good stead from IBM Microelectronics and Broadcom through Merlyn/Emergence. we will also discuss opportunities for agents and GenAI to transform chemical engineering and chemical engineering education.
