We revisit Brenner's classic 1964 study on the Stokes resistance of slightly deformed spheres. Brenner's technique, involving asymptotic expansion, solves Stokes fluid flow around these shapes using two mapping steps: initially mapping surface velocity of a deformed sphere to that of a reference sphere, and then applying Lamb's general solution for any point in the fluid. Expanding on this, we employ a spectral method for axisymmetric Stokes flow, developing a method to address large deformations using multiple orders of perturbation.
