(396a) From Industry to Academia: Technical Excellence, People, and Understanding Your Why

My career in pharmaceutical development provided me with the opportunities do exciting science and engineering work across 1) lab and productions scales, 2) chemical engineering unit operations, 3) experimental and modeling methodologies, and 4) molecular diversity and complexity. My learnings in transitioning from individual contributor to team leadership led to my set of core values for people development and team effectiveness. This set of core values became the foundation for driving innovation and technical excellence while fostering an inclusive and collaborative work culture. This talk will touch upon these topics, providing a view of the current landscape and direction of innovation in pharmaceutical development, as well as my life in industry and my role in academia.
