We have developed an integrated methodology for accelerating the discovery to market journey for nanomaterials. This presentation will provide a background of this new approach and then discuss a case study of our recent discovery of a scalable, sustainable and safer method for producing high-value and stable porous silicon for battery anodes. It overcomes many issues of existing methods such as high production costs, problematic scale-up, unsafe manufacturing process and low-performance products.

Currently, we are undertaking steps towards commercialising this technology and, as such, performing

(i) process development,

(ii) product testing, and

(iii) market discovery.

In this presentation, we will share our efforts in the commercialisation journey. Special emphasis will be on market discovery, starting from understanding the commercial opportunity, exploring commercialisation options and developing routes to market.
