Research shows that engineering students often struggle to find time for their mental health, are hesitant to seek help, and tend to normalize the high stress levels of their training environment. Therefore, this interactive workshop is designed specifically for engineering students to help you prioritize your mental health. We will cover four essential topics: 1. Why Mental Health Matters: Understand the critical importance of mental well-being in your academic and personal life. 2. Advocating for Yourself and Others: Learn how to speak up for your mental health needs and support your peers in doing the same. 3. Recognizing Stress vs. Distress: Gain insights into differentiating between normal stress and signs of mental health issues. 4. Finding Campus Resources: Discover the mental health resources available to you on campus and how to access them. By attending this workshop, you'll gain valuable skills and knowledge to help you manage stress, seek help when needed, and create a supportive community within your engineering cohort. By learning to prioritize your mental health as an engineering student, you will not only support your current well-being and academic performance but also set the foundation for long-term well-being.
