An interpenetrated sodalite structure type trizazolate-based Cu MOF was designed and successfully synthesized. It shows high stability in a variety of pH values and high BET surface area at 2100 m2/g and 2.0 wt% total H2 uptake at 1 bar and 77 K. Under high pressure, it demonstrated very high weight percentage of hydrogen excess uptake at 5.6 wt%, which exceeds the prediction of Chahine rule.
