F&pd Panel Discussion - Color Changing Processes: Moving from Black to Green

Chair(s)

Carter, E., Honeywell UOP

Major changes are coming to the Fuels and Petrochemicals' industries. In the drive to become less carbon intensive, producers are looking at integrating Blue, Green or Circular economies to existing facilities. In the drive to becoming less carbon intensive, facilities will need to investigate their process and determine what changes they can make without impacting their overall production or product quality. Some questions that arise during this change could be: How can existing facilities integrate Green or Blue methods into their processing, such as Hydrogen? Does this change make our process "Green" or "Blue" or are we shifting the "Black" to someone else? How can we maintain availability with unpredictable energy sources?
