(129a) Safety Challenges and Objectives in Rapid Lab to Plant Scale-up

Over the course of two years, Solugen Inc. went from lab proof-of-concept studies to building and starting up the world's first carbon-negative chemicals plant, using a proprietary chemienzymatic process. This talk will detail the inherent challenges in keeping a compressed timeline scale up safe and hazard free, from job walks on new laboratory techniques to PHAs and PSSRs on a first of its kind plant.
