In many refinery units, such as Crude or Vacuum Distillation Units, high maintenance costs, furnace fuel consumption, heat exchanger pressure drop and unit throughput reduction are common problems. Fouling of the pre-heat train heat exchangers is one of the root causes that leads to these problems. Ceramic coating technology, minimizes fouling in heat exchanger tubes leading to significant improvements in heat transfer efficiency. The use of anti-fouling ceramic coatings in preheat trains leads to longer runs without cleaning, reliable operations, reduced fuel consumption and therefore significant OPEX savings.
