Digitalization, or the widespread use of digital information and communication technology in many aspects of life, creates new opportunities for processing and utilizing data. As a result, for productivity management in all manufacturing firms

The hierarchy of controls has been used as a means of determining how to implement feasible and effective controls, which include elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment

Engineering controls to eliminate & substitute manual asset monitoring from filed to latest digital technology for aid in integrity, Proactive approach towards process safety

Field presence and periodic monitoring of every critical parameter have significant importance. Its human tendency to lean behavior on their routine task over the period of time, diffusion to normalize, assumed thinks are normal and in good condition. Process Safety key parameter monitoring, timely logging via feed forward loop and proactive approach is key to prevent Process safety events.

To overcome this, in house solution was developed by utilizing area mapping by intrinsically safe tablets / NFC tags and ERP module together and all field reading only be logged when operator will be in field at designated location and area operator round is time bounded, other observations are also picked.

By using this digitalization system we can generated system based work request from field of every faulty equipment and highlight any deviation from save operating limits

It is state of the art technology which implemented to automate field operator rounds to improve plant reliability thru digitalized field surveillance. It will not only ensure operator presence on asset after 3 hrs interval but also help in raising work request if there is any faulty reading to take appropriate action. Full transformation from manual logging to automation

This project is one of the kinds in country and gives very fruit full result, this paper will cover the complete transformation/ implantation strategy, Hurdles faces, how they were overcome and in the last i will be highlighting the benefits gained thru the system in reduction in of Process Safety Events and Other benefits

Apart form above mention benefits, this system also saved paper consumption turned into reduction in carbon footprints
