(14c) Mechanical Integrity Issues for Second-Hand Equipment with No OEM Information Available.

Mechanical Integrity is one of the most important elements in Process Safety Management where the development of a successful Mechanical Integrity Program, which is mainly based on information from the equipment, is a crucial part. However, we do not always have this information available, especially when it comes to second-hand equipment, which can be challenging for any facility. The main objective of this presentation is to discuss the mechanical integrity issues in second-hand equipment where there is no information available from OEMs, strategies that we can use, as well as the existing legislation and good practices to deal with this issue, for the purpose to ensure a continued safe operation of your facilities and protection of personnel, the environment, and critical assets.
