(163b) Distributed Control System (DCS) for the Operation and Analysis Process Safety (DCS-PS)

Processing plants have a process control system from their engineering design and it is the interface so that operational and process personnel can operate and analyze the performance of the process. The process safety professional also uses this system but must integrate additional information from the different elements that make up process safety management to obtain relevant information that allows identifying preventive actions that manage to control threats to the process.
This paper shows a prototype of a design for a distributed distributed control system focused on process safety (DCS-PS) similar to the distributed control system (DCS) of a process.
This tool will allow process safety engineers to issue diagnoses on the operation of process safety, through trends and data from different activities carried out in a Plant.
