Topical 15: The Energy Transition
Transportation Considerations in Energy Transition
Wednesday, March 27, 2024 - 1:30pm to 2:00pm
There are various molecules of interest in energy transition. These molecules are, potentially, carbon dioxide (CO2), ammonia (NH3), hydrogen (H2), etc. Safe transportation of produced CO2, NH3, and H2 becomes extremely important for an efficient energy transition in the industry. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce hazards related with CO2/NH3/H2 handling, its transportation through pipelines/trucks/vessels, and its storage systems. Possible mitigation methods will also be introduced as part of the presentation.
