(187c) Sustainability Metrics for Small Molecules – Scorecard Focused on Sustainability & Cost

This presentation will overview Corteva Agriscience’s approach to sustainability metrics at the Discovery and Development stages for small molecules. Quantifiable methods will be presented. The scorecard activities discussed tie directly into our technology development process to drive holistic process improvement. The techniques presented are actively being employed in support of Corteva’s 2030 Corporate level sustainability goals. Case studies will also be presented on past route decisions, as well as characterization of these choices/processes in the context of the twelve principles of Green Chemistry. Implementing these strategies has resulted in lower waste, increased safety, and improved cost positions.
