This study was conducted to upgrade waste plastic pyrolysis oil (WPPO) produced from a 10 ton/day commercial rotary kiln waste plastic pyrolysis reactor as a feedstock for the NCC process. To achieve this objective, hydrotreating and hydrocracking reactions were carried out utilizing both laboratory and bench-scale continuous process equipment. The research mainly aimed at designing the process concept for the continuous unit in the laboratory on a small scale. The research findings confirm the impact of various combinations of HDT and HCK reactions, as well as their sensitivity to feedstock characteristics and reaction conditions. In conclusion, the impurity removal rate met the majority of naphtha specifications, and the naphtha yield exceeded 90%.
